Microsoft 365 SharePoint Updates

Office 365 update: SharePoint conversations link moved from site header to navigation

In order to more clearly bring Office 365 group content and resources to your SharePoint team site we have recently updated the site navigation of your team site with a conversations link to either a group mailbox or Yammer group (depending on where the site was provisioned). Beginning in January we’ll remove the duplicate “go to conversations” link in the team site header.

How does this affect me?
As we continue to evolve and improve the default team site experience we are moving the conversations link from the site header to the site navigation for all existing and new modern team sites.

More context on this change can be found in our September blog.

We’ll be gradually rolling this out to customers in January 2018.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
Unless you need to move or remove the link, there is no action you need to take. As the update rolls out, the “go to conversations” link in the header will be removed. Please click Additional Information to learn more about editing the navigation.

I don’t suppose you know of a way to remove the Group conversations link in the top right of a modern team site home page do you? Thanks!
