SharePoint Links and Announcement lists now have improved page performance, responsiveness, and accessibility, instead of being limited to classic mode. You’ll begin seeing these updated features in the coming days.

How does this affect me?
These two list types have been around for a long time. Creating modern experiences for these list types, brings them in line with many other SharePoint elements that have been updated recently, allowing more team sites to take advantage of improved consistency and page performance, responsiveness, and accessibility. Links and Announcement lists are not supported by the Lists web part. If you need to add links or updates in a web part on a modern SharePoint page, we recommend the Quick Links and News web parts. We’ll be gradually rolling this out in the following days, and the roll out will be completed by the end of September.
What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this change. However, you can choose to remain in classic mode in advance of the rollout. Please click Additional Information to learn more.
