Office 365 Update: Shared status indicator for shared folders on OneDrive Web

The ability to know when a folder is shared on OneDrive Web is a new Office 365 feature. You’ll begin seeing this new feature in the coming days.

This message is associated with Office 365 Roadmap ID 20566.

While our goal is to ensure we notify you in advance of upcoming changes, we acknowledge we did not provide timely notice for this change. We’ll continue to look for ways to improve our notifications.

How does this affect me?
We’ve added this sharing indicator on the end of the breadcrumb to make it clear in the in-folder view when that folder is shared with others. To learn more about who the folder is shared with, users can click the sharing glyph to open the “Manage Access” pane.

We’ll be gradually rolling this out to First Release customers in the following days, and the roll out will be completed by the end of August.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this change. Please click Additional Information to learn more.
