Office 365 Update: Visio Online Public Preview

Visio Online is a new Office 365 feature which is now in Public Preview.

This message is associated with Office 365 Roadmap ID 18504.

How does this affect me?
Visio Online is the new way to create Visio diagrams in a web browser. With a refreshed user interface, Visio Online will let you create, edit, and share flowcharts, relationships, and other basic diagrams in your browser.

Visio Online is now in Public Preview. We’re making this Preview of Visio Online available for free to all Office 365 customers with support in 25 languages. This feature rollout will be completed by the end of this week. We will enable or disable Visio Online Preview based on the Preview Features setting you have configured in the SharePoint Online admin center.

Following the public preview, Visio Online with creation experience will be a paid service and will not be charged automatically. If you choose not to buy Visio Online, users in your organization will still be able to view Visio diagrams in their browser. Following the public preview, Visio Online will be controlled on a per-user basis, via licensing.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
We encourage you to get your organization up to speed on the capabilities of Visio Online, by enabling it today within your organization. This feature has administrative controls to enable and disable. Please click Additional Information to learn more.
