Today, we are launching Yammer Dynamic groups which will allow you to manage Yammer groups dynamically through Azure AD.
How does this affect me?
You will be able to manage a group based on the following criteria:
- Other attributes (role, geography, department, etc.)
Dynamic groups will update automatically as people join, leave, or move within your organization.
Here are the steps to set up a dynamic group in Yammer.
- Login to the Azure AD portal (requires premium AD subscription)
- Click on groups and select the Yammer group you want to configure
- Click on the configure tab and set up your membership rules. Now users in your configured group will update automatically.
