We’re adding the ability for admins to limit file uploads to only photos and videos in Yammer. You’ll being seeing this feature in the coming months.
How does this affect me?
Currently, admins can only allow all or not allow all file uploads (including photos and videos). This new feature will provide admins with more flexibility and control by having the option to turn off all file uploads, but still allow their users’ s to upload photos and videos.
If your network previously allowed file uploads, we’ll not be taking any steps to delete or prevent those existing files from being shown in the network.
We’ll be rolling this out in the following months, and the roll out will be completed by the end of December.
