Office 365 migration - The team site top navigation link

I want to share another experience related to the migration of BPOS to Office 365. The new Office 365 administration portal contains a link called Team Site. This link will open the default site collection. This default site collection is automatically created after the migration to Office 365. This is a team site with a web part that shows all existing site collection. About a year ago I wrote an article about the absence of an overview of all site collections. This seems to be the replaced.

I find this confusing for the customers with one site collection because they have take multiple steps to get to their original site collection. I contacted Microsoft and there is no solution for this. You can delete the new team site but the Team Site top navigation link will be grayed out.

The downside of this team site is that you cannot activate the publishing feature. So you cannot apply the look and feel of the customer by using an existing Master Page. This is a shame.
